Fair Week Schedule

Sunday August 13th

9:00 A.M.- 12:00 Noon – All beef, lamb, goat, and swine exhibits Accepted

10:00 A.M. – Junior Livestock Exhibitor packets and passes can be picked up in the Show Barn

12:00 P.M. – KIDDIE PEDAL TRACTOR PULL – Track  (for children ages 3-10.  Registration starts at 11 am on-site.  Trophy to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winner in each age class.  The tractor and sled will be provider.)

1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. – Car & Truck Show (infield) Open to all makes and modes; plaques to Top 10 Winners.  $10 registration fee payable on-site)

1:30 P.M. – Livestock Exhibitors Meeting (Show Barn) Mandatory

2:30 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. –  Junior Poultry exhibits Accepted

3:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. – Rabbit exhibits accepted

3:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. – Homemaking, Photography, & Fine Arts exhibits accepted

5:00 P.M. OPENING CEREMONY – Welcome by local officials & Clarke Youth Music Ensemble.

followed by: Pre-Teen Miss Clarke County Contest

followed by: Junior Miss Clarke County Fair Contest

followed by: Miss Clarke County Fair Scholarship Pageant

Monday August 14th

7:00 A.M. – Lamb and Goat weigh in

8:00 A.M. –  Beef weigh in

11:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M. – Homemaking, Fine Arts, and Photography exhibits accepted

12:00 P.M. – Dairy Goat Show

1:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. – Agriculture and Horticulture exhibits accepted

4:00 P.M. – Junior & Open Breeding Doe

4:00 P.M. – Gates open

5:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. – Beef or Chicken Barbecue (sauce prepared by Ruritan Club)

6:00 P.M. – Goat Showmanship Show immediately followed by Market/Bred & Owned Goat Show followed by Adult Showmanship

6:00 P.M. – CARNIVAL OPENS – RIDE ALL NIGHT FOR $30

6:00 P.M. – Little Miss Clarke County Fair Contest (Grandstand)

followed by Tiny Miss Clarke County Fair Contest (Grandstand)  New for 2023

Tuesday, August 15th

8:00 A.M. – Swine Weigh in

9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. – Agriculture, Horticulture and Floral exhibits accepted

9:00 A.M. – Junior/Open poultry & Rabbit Shows and Poultry Shows (barns closed to spectators)

10:00 A.M. – Gates Open

10:30 A.M. – Exhibitor team building event (Show Barn)

10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. – Judge Homemaking, Fine arts, & Photography exhibits.

12:00 PM-6:00 PM – Judge Agriculture/Horticulture Exhibits

4:00 P.M. Junior & Open Breeding Sheep Show (show barn) 

5:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. – Beef or Chicken Barbecue (sauce prepared by Ruritan Club)

5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. – Floral exhibits accepted

SENIOR CITIZEN DAY AND CHILDREN’S DAY

All adults (62 and over) and children (15 and under) 
admitted FREE until 5:00 P.M.

9:00 A.M. – Youth (ages 4-12) Lamb & Goat Olympics (Show Barn)  followed by  Barnyard Fun & Games (Show Barn)  Open to all children ages 4-12;  registration starts at 8:30 am.

10:00 A.M. – Gates & Building Exhibits Open

10:00 A.M. – Judge Floral Exhibits

12:30 P.M. – Junior Beef Showmanship (Show Barn) followed by a half hour break and followed by   Junior & Open Breeding Beef Show (Show Barn)

1:00 P.M. – Berryville Baptist Rascals puppet show  (Grandstand)

2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. – Reduced rates for carnival rides (Rides take one less ticket)

2:00, 4:00, 6:00, 8:00 P.M. – SAWJAC Show

4:30 P.M. – Pretty Animal Contest (Show Barn) open to 4-H/FFA exhibitors

5:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. – Beef or Chicken Barbecue (sauce prepared by Ruritan Club)

6:00 P.M. – Carnival Rides Open– RIDE ALL NIGHT FOR $30

6:00 P.M. – Junior Market Beef Show followed by Adult Beef Showmanship

6:30 P.M. – Lawn and Garden Tractor Pull 

Registration starts at 5 pm.  $20 per pull paid upon entry (cash only)

Thursday, August 17th

Veteran’s Day: All Active & Military Veterans Admitted Free All Day

3:00 P.M. – Veteran Appreciation Event (Grandstand)
