Fair Week Schedule

SUNDAY, AUGUST 11TH

FREE ADMISSION 

9:00 A.M.- 12:00 Noon – All beef, lamb, goat, and swine exhibits accepted

10:00 A.M. – Junior Livestock Exhibitor packets and passes can be picked up in the Show Barn

11:00 A.M. – KIDDIE PEDAL TRACTOR PULL – for ages 3 – 10 (Track) Registration starts at 11 am on-site.  Trophy to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winner in each age class.  

1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. – Car & Truck Show  Open to all makes and models; plaques to Top 10 Winners.  $10 registration fee payable on-site (Outside of Grandstand Fence)

12:30 PM – SOULED OUT! (Stage) – Grab a picnic from the Concession Stand!

1:00 P.M. – Livestock Exhibitors Mandatory Meeting (Show Barn) 

1:30 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. – Junior Poultry Exhibits Accepted/Open Poultry Accepted

3:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. – Rabbit Exhibits accepted

3:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. – Homemaking, Photography, & Fine Arts Exhibits accepted

5:00 P.M. OPENING CEREMONY – Welcome by local officials, Clarke Youth Music Ensemble & Clarke Cheerleaders

followed by: Pre-Teen Miss Clarke County Contest

followed by: Junior Miss Clarke County Fair Contest

followed by: Miss Clarke County Fair Scholarship Pageant

MONDAY, AUGUST 12TH

7:00 A.M. – Lamb and Goat Weigh In

8:00 A.M. – Beef Weigh In

11:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M. – Homemaking, Fine Arts, and Photography Exhibits accepted

12:00 P.M. – Dairy Goat Show – Showmanship followed by Junior Breeding Show

1:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. – Agriculture and Horticulture Exhibits accepted

4:00 P.M. – Junior & Open Breeding Doe Show

4:00 P.M. – Gates Open

5:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. – Ruritan Famous Beef or Chicken Barbecue 

6:00 P.M. – Goat Showmanship Show immediately followed by Market/Bred & Owned Goat Show 

6:00 P.M. – CARNIVAL OPENS – RIDE ALL NIGHT FOR $35

6:00 P.M. – Young Miss Clarke County Fair Contest, Little Miss Clarke County Fair Contest, Tiny Miss Clarke County Fair Contest (Grandstand)

10:00 A.M. – Gates Open

10:30 A.M. – Exhibitor team building event (Show Barn)

12:00 P.M. – Equine Showmanship Exhibition(Show Barn) – New!

10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. – Judge Homemaking, Fine Arts, & Photography exhibits.

12:00 PM-6:00 PM – Judging of Agriculture/Horticulture Exhibits

4:00 P.M. – Junior & Open Breeding Sheep Show (Show Barn) 

5:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. – Ruritan Famous Beef or Chicken Barbecue 

5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. – Floral Exhibits accepted

SENIOR CITIZEN DAY AND CHILDREN’S DAY

All adults (62 and over) and children (15 and under) admitted FREE until 5:00 P.M.

9:00 A.M. – Barnyard Fun & Games (Show Barn)  Open to all Community Children ages 4-12;  Registration will be available July 15th

10:00 A.M. – Gates & Building Exhibits Open

10:00 A.M. – Judge Floral Exhibits

11:00 A.M. – Senior Citizen Party!  Dessert Walk, Music Bingo, & Entertainment (Horticulture Bldg.) Lunch will be Available to Purchase – NEW THIS YEAR!

12:30 P.M. – Beef Showmanship followed by Junior & Open Breeding Beef Show – (Show Barn) – ½ Hour Break In Between Shows

1:00 P.M. – Berryville Baptist Rascals Puppet Show  (Grandstand) 

2:00 P.M. – Children’s Party! – Face Painting, Caricatures, Old Fashioned Children’s Games – Registration will be available July 15th – NEW THIS YEAR! (Horticulture Bldg.) 

2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. – Reduced rates for carnival rides (Rides will take one less ticket)

3:00 P.M. – Veteran Appreciation Ceremony (Stage)

4:00 P.M. – Swine Showmanship show followed with Market Swine and Gilt Show

11:00 A.M. – Exhibitor Games & Lunch

10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. – PREMIUM MONEY MAY BE PICKED UP IN THE PREMIUM OFFICE

1:00  P.M. – Junior Livestock Skillathon (Show Barn) – Sponsored by our local 4-H Virginia Leaders Association

4:30 P.M. Smooch A Moo (Show Barn) 4-H Volunteers Leaders Association Fundraiser

5:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. – Ruritan Famous Beef or Chicken Barbecue 

6:00 P.M. – Carnival Rides Open

5:00 P.M. – Sale of 4-H and F.F.A. Livestock (Show Barn)  Poultry, Sale of Champions, followed by Goat, Steer, Rabbit, Hog, Lamb Rotation – New time and format this year! 

3 Beef Raffle Tickets will be drawn for a 1/4 of AUDLEY PRIME BEEF – Buy a Ticket here starting July 15th or come bid on the 1/4 we will be auctioning at the sale!
